14 April 2016 - 8 January 2017
Every winter for centuries, Lake Geneva has become a hunting ground. In spite of the cold and damp, hunters spend whole days sitting in their boats, hoping not to come back empty-handed. Who goes hunting? Why did they go? With which boats and which weapons? How was hunting on Lake Geneva gradually regulated? How did artists and popular culture take up the subject? Generally speaking, hunting does not leave anyone indifferent. It either fascinates or shocks. On Lake Geneva, it remains little known. Neither a pamphlet nor a plea, this exhibition sheds light on the subject.
