Des méduses au musée

What are these jellyfish that have regularly been seen in Lake Geneva since the 1960s? Rosanna Baledda’s poetic installation, composed of organza jellyfish, raises questions about these mysterious and unloved creatures. With their soft almost transparent bodies, but no recognisable organs, should we not be devoting a little time to thinking about them? Especially as the warming climate means that encounters with jellyfish are likely to be increasingly frequent…

The installation was organised by the Lake Geneva Museum and opened to the public on 9 November, Arts Day (Journée des Arts), until 16 February 2020.
